Zora is one of several "clones" out of Zelda and Conan. Conan is the famous sire of such celebrated Champions as Lancaster and Lord Stanley, among others. All of his cria have done well in the show ring taking many firsts and Champions. Most of his crias have his characteristic head and bright fleece with long staple lengths. Zora has all of the characteristics her sire is known to pass on. She has an extremely bright fleece with consistent character and a long staple length. We are excited about the cria she is carrying, as well
Zora is one of the first to be bred to Loda’s Jon Luc (Lucca) and is due at the end of this summer. Lucca was specifically chosen for the fine fiber characteristics and density he can bring to this match. His 2008 histogram was: MFD 19.9/ SD 4.0/ CV 20.1%/ %›30-1%. His skin biopsy shows well above average characteristics with a density of 72.5 follicles/mm sq, an S/P Ratio of 9 to 1 and Level 4/4 glands (correlates to brightness). 100 secondary fibers were tested at 21.5 microns and 50 primaries at 27.9 microns. This is a spread of only 6.4 microns between his primaries and secondaries- Incredible!.
