This is may be the best deal of the sale. Shake is a poster girl for the incredible gains that can be made with careful breeding selection! Her dam Wild Thang, is a good milker and easy birther but is lacking in the fiber characteristics we want in a breeding female. She is bay black with a loftier fleece, often seen in “old school” suris. Since Wild Thang needed fiber help so we chose Jet Stream to improve her lock structure and were amazed by the improvement. Jet Stream has the best re-growth we have ever seen (other than on his offspring) -- he has maintained his twisted locks and luster through several shearings. In addition, he is one of our densest males, with 63.5 follicles/sq mm and an S/P ratio of 10.6. He has made a significant improvement in the offspring of each dam he has been bred and this Shake’s dam may have been his greatest challenge!

Shakes full brother, Wild Tchoupatoula, did very well in the show ring, taking first-thirds. Since we knew this combination would produce significant improvement, we rebred Wild Thang the same way in hope of a repeat and got Shake, Rattle & Roll. She was only shown once and took 3/5. However, I think her fleece may be finer than her brother. It shows nice lock structure, a slick handle and luster.
