Omega came about when we were looking for an extremely dense male to breed to her dam Zoey, who is a Conan daughter. We found him in El Nino’s Accoyo Michelangelo, whose density is in the high 90s (follicles/sq mm). When Omega was born we could feel the difference in density immediately. Her skin biopsy stats are below.
Omega is an all around well put together young female. Her proportions are correct, her coverage is outstanding, and her fiber is very nice. While we lost just a bit of her mother’s character in the breeding to Michelangelo, we gained so much in density. Omega’s first cria was out of Cohiba and his character and brightness were right where we wanted them to be, along with her added density. He sold at just over 1 year of age.
This girl is a good mom who delivered unassisted. We would love to see her bred to Lucca because his first cria have been consistently outstanding. We think this match would allow the offspring to maintain her density and would give added fineness, due to the fact that Lucca’s secondaries and primaries are so close together.
